General Williams Carter Wickham in Monroe Park

WHAT: General Williams Carter Wickham statue in Monroe Park in Richmond, Virginia.

LOCATION: Monroe Park, facing Laurel Street between Main and Franklin Streets.

ARTIST: Edward V. Valentine.

DEDICATION: October 29, 1891.

DESCRIPTION: A 7 foot high standing bronze figure mounted on a 10 foot high granite pedestal.  The Brigadier General is portrayed in Confederate uniform complete with field-glass case. Wickham was also Vice President of the C&O Railroad.
